A MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT

Many of our youth, families and communities still lack the adequate educational resources to support the varied needs of diverse youth and families. Students from disadvantaged racial and economic backgrounds fall behind in their pursuit of academic achievement in schools throughout the nation. I believe in the adage “It takes a village to raise a child.” In my view the village is the collective community of businesses, parents, community members, educators and others interested in creating inclusive and empowering educational opportunities for all children. Although financial resources are very important in addressing the unequal educational opportunities facing disadvantaged youth, human resources are also vital to addressing these problems. Our organization promises all our participants the educational resources to support their academic journey from elementary school to college. Your financial and volunteer efforts help us to honor our promise to the participants in our programs and their families. Your benevolence supports the empowering changes that will provide unlimited educational opportunities for our participants. Thank you for your gifts that touch the lives of so many children and families.
With thanks and appreciation,
Christopher A. Lester, Ed.D., President, CEO
National Educational Empowerment Summit, Inc.
